The aim of our Circus Club is to help you set up Circus as a regular activity at your school. After our initial input we hope that you will be able to build the club up and eventually take it over.
Circus skills have a happy knack of being a skill that the pupils will teach each other. Once you have a few spinning and throwing diabolists you will soon have many more - jugglers will teach none jugglers.
Our teaching clips which you can view in our how to section and our teaching pack will provide all the guidance you need.
STRUCTURE
We visit for 4 sessions during the term.
We recommend Week 1, 4, 8, 10
We teach the pupils and the teacher coordinating the club the skills and routines they are going to work on. They then practice and build on these skills and routines when we are not attending
We will give the school as part of the club
Teaching Book (PDF)
6 diabolos
6 sets of scarves
6 sets of splats beanbags
This is enough equipment to run the club with 24 pupils. We would recommmend purchasing more equipment BUT it does work with this. We also can supply equipment for interested pupils of which the school gets commission in equipment
We have designed routines and a circus presentation theat the pupils can work towards and perform at the end of the term to parents and or in assembly.
COST is £600 plus VAT for 4 sessions and the Circus Equipment pack. Extra sessions can be added if you require.
