MAKE A MASK DAY
4 classes learn 4 scenes during the day and make props for an end of the day show.
Masks are a great way to help pupils express themselves. We have been using masks in our theatre shows for over 15 years and using very simple mask templates we can bring the fun to your school. At the end of the day the pupils can all go home with a selection of their own masks and also can buy the Splats mask set to continue the fun
HOW THE DAY WORKS
Suitable for ages: Nursery through to Year 7 Amount of pupils: 140 pupils in a day (call if you require more) Number per Make a Play class: up to 35 (call if you require more)
There are 4 Stories in total so we can work with 4 classes (Please call if you have more classes)with a maximum of 35 in each class. One class at a time learns its own scene with our teacher whilst the others make props/scenery in their classroom for the final show.
We start the day with a fun assembly where our Splats teacher introduces the pupils to the characters they will be playing.
We will send you a file with all the masks templates in which the school then needs to print out. Alternatively the pupils can copy the templates onto card
CLASSES
Then one class at a time work with our teacher where they learn a story which they will act out in front of the whole school at the end of the day. When the pupils are not with our teacher they will be making masks for the show.
Different groups will make different masks and tell different stories
Group 1 - Animal masks - Monkey, Tiger
Group 2 - Fantasy masks - Aliens, Robot, Astronauts
Group 3 - Story book masks - Robin Hood, Pirate, Witch, Sherlock Holmes
Group 4 - Comedy masks - clown, monkey, funny face
They will then all perform a story based around these characters. This story will be developed during the day.

In just one day we will come in and teach your children four classic fairytales and then perform the stories with them as the stars. This is suitable for all Primary ages, especially Nursery and Key Stage One and starring the one and only Big Bad Wolf!

ASSEMBLY
This introduces the pupil to the characters and what is to be expected from them during the day. Our teacher will also outline the tasks that each class will need to do whilst in their classroom.
